Why Choose This Trip?
All of your questions answered
Will meals be provided?
All meals are included in the price, beginning with dinner on Tuesday night and ending with breakfast on Friday. If you want to buy snacks, drinks, or coffee in between meals, you should bring additional spending money.
Will accommodation be provided?
Accommodation will be provided but the standard will be somewhat rustic, sleeping on bunks or army cots in the dorms or other rooms on our campus. Of course, guys’ and girls’ accommodation arrangements will be separate. Be sure to bring a pillow and sleeping bag/bedding.
How old do I have to be to attend?
The trip is primarily geared toward teens (ages 13+) and young adults, though adult sponsors are encouraged to attend with their young people. For young people under 18, we require that at least one adult sponsor come with them.
Churches should gain parental permission for under 18s (download form) and make sure that all adult workers are background checks. All VBM adult workers will be appropriately background-checked and trained.
Can I come if I'm not planning to be a missionary?
Yes, you may! This trip should be both challenging and fun for any Christian, but we cannot promise you won’t want to be a missionary after the trip is over!
Will it be fun?
The main goal of the WCMT is to glorify God and grow in obedience to Him? But as Jesus said in John 13:17, “If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.” There is nothing more fulfilling or enjoyable as a Christian than doing what Jesus told us to do. Along the way, we will have lots of fun, and, better yet, fulfillment getting involved in the Great Commission!
