Just Wait, He is Trustworthy

“My soul, wait thou only upon God; For my expectation is from him. He only is my rock and my salvation: He is my defence; I shall not be moved. In God is my salvation and my glory: The rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. Trust in him at all times; ye people, Pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.” — Psalm 62:5-8 

The verse encourages waiting, which means being silent or still. Instead of panicking or stressing, speak to your soul and remind yourself that you are waiting on God.

God is my expectation, representing my hope and longing. He is my rock, providing strength, stability, and an unchanging presence in life. He is also my salvation, offering help, deliverance, and victory. And my defense, serving as a refuge, stronghold, and retreat.

The passage concludes by affirming that God is trustworthy. Pour out your heart to Him, as He is your best friend, counselor, helper, protector, advisor, and Father. Knowing Who God is and what He is to you, you can confidently wait on Him, for He is trustworthy.
