Prepare for the Field on the Field.

VBM provides internships, both overseas and domestic, for college students, graduates, and individuals with ministry experience seeking specific missions training. Under the guidance of seasoned missionaries and mentors, interns gain knowledge in missionary methods, cultural adaptation, leadership, church-planting, and deputation.

Step Into Full-Time Missions with VBM!

Vision Baptist Missions offers three ministry paths—Foreign Missionary, Stateside Missionary, and Helps Missionary—each focused on planting and strengthening indigenous, spiritually healthy, independent Baptist churches. Missionaries begin with cultural adaptation and, when needed, language studies under a veteran missionary. Foreign missionaries typically serve four-year terms with a one-year furlough, while stateside and helps missionaries follow modified support-raising schedules.

All candidates must meet spiritual, character, and practical qualifications: a clear testimony of salvation and baptism, doctrinal agreement, church membership with pastoral recommendation, a consistent Christian testimony, and completion of required readings and a six-month VBM internship. Applicants must also demonstrate ministry experience, meet health and citizenship requirements, maintain limited unsecured debt, and pass a background check.

Whether planting churches abroad, planting churches in the U.S., or assisting church planters, each missionary plays a vital role in advancing the gospel and training national leaders to carry the work forward.
