Missions Internships
Prepare for the Field on the Field.
VBM provides internships, both overseas and domestic, for college students, graduates, and individuals with ministry experience seeking specific missions training. Under the guidance of seasoned missionaries and mentors, interns gain knowledge in missionary methods, cultural adaptation, leadership, church-planting, and deputation.
Why Pursue a Missions Internship?
"A missions internship lasts three to six months, during which you live in a foreign country alongside an experienced missionary family. You will immerse yourself in the local culture, adapt to a new way of life, and face the unique challenges of sharing the gospel in an unfamiliar context. Missions can often feel abstract, and answering the question, “What will you do when you get there?” can be difficult. A missions internship is an excellent way to test if this calling is truly from God or just an exciting idea."
Overseas Internships
Vision Baptist Missions offers 6-12 month overseas missions internships with veteran missionaries in Africa, Asia, Europe, and Latin America. Typically, these are a capstone educational experience for students in the Vision School of Missions. However, for college students, college graduates, and others, this type of internship is a valuable pathway into practical missions work.
Domestic & Local
Vision Baptist Missions offers domestic internships at the main campus in Atlanta, Georgia, or with church-planters in New York City. Alternatively, a local church internship combines experience in your local church with remote and in-person mentoring from VBM missionaries and leadership.
