Managing Yourself Wisely (1 of 3)

Managing Yourself Wisely (1 of 3)

If you were the boss of a company, how would you run it? If you were the boss, would you manage people, priorities, or business affairs differently? Well, here’s the good news: you are the boss. In fact, you are the manager of one of the greatest companies on the market. The company you manage is “You, Incorporated.” And as the owner, manager, and leader, the decisions are up to you. So take inventory. Go through the checklist below and make sure you are running your business in a way that leads to success.

You Are Your Own Boss.
Do you check in on time? Do you work hard? Do you remember your priorities? If everyone were just like you, would they be profitable, productive, and successful?

If there’s some habits or attitudes that need to be changed, then take charge and change them. If you’re going to lead, it must start in your own life.

You Are Your Own Cheerleader.
As CEO (Chief Encouragement Officer), how are you doing at motivating yourself? Are you down and discouraged to the point of feeling purposeless or unmotivated? Have you learned how to encourage yourself? Remember, you can’t encourage others if you can’t encourage yourself.

David encouraged himself in the Lord (1 Samuel 30:6). God’s Word offers the encouragement you need. Think on Bible truths, Scripture-based songs, blessings, and promises from God. Let God give you the strength and encouragement you need in order to help and serve others.

You Are Your Own Coach.
How’s your discipline, coach? Are you tough on yourself or only on those around you? Do you give it your all, or do you excuse yourself, thinking others are better and there’s no use trying? Do you play as part of a team, or are you a ball hog? Do you take all the glory when there’s a win, or do you share it with the other players? Are you staying in shape mentally, emotionally, and physically?
