Result of Recognition

“This is the day which the LORD hath made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.” — Psalm 118:24

It begins with a recognition. A clear understanding and appreciation of who is the Owner, Creator, and One in control. God made the day, and God gave me this day! 

It ends with a result: I will rejoice and be glad today. Not tomorrow but today. As a result, I will live joyfully. Internally, this flows from a full heart, while externally, it is a strong witness. A merry heart does good like a medicine, both for me as well as those around me. Life is better when joy is present; and joy is recognizing Who gave me life and living it out.
