VBM Update From the Home Base - Week 38
Double Header Weekend
On Saturday, we held a Youth for the Gospel in St. Cloud, FL. Pastor Callen and Eastern Avenue Baptist Church were kind enough to open the doors and allow missionaries, students, and staff to preach and challenge their youth. We appreciate those who travelled down to help and challenge the young people! What a blessing!
Simultaneously, VBM represented at the Buckeye Teen Rally in Mansfield, OH where around 1,200 students gathered for this yearly statewide event. God gave us some good conversations and connections.
Fall Sowing Opportunities
We still have multiple opportunities this fall where we will be sowing and praying God will give us new missionary recruits as your future co-laborers. Please help us pray God would use the efforts as we work strategically and diligently for more laborers. We are thankful for the missionaries who are willing to represent and recruit while on furlough. Below are a few of the events we still have coming up:
- Pensacola Christian College
- Ambassador Baptist College
- VA Harvest Rally
- Southwide Baptist Fellowship
- Creation College Expo
- Y4tG events (Bronx, NY; Dalton, GA)
- Various Churches (missions conferences and individual meetings)
Missions Class
If you are in the area, we would love to have you join us for a Missions Class on Friday morning. Afterwards, we have a lunch together.
Evangelism Table at VSM
The students have added an evangelism table in the Carey Center where they can grab tracts, New Testaments, and maps. Grateful for their heart for evangelism.

New Classrooms Signs
Our new classrooms have been all named and designated for its purpose. Here's a list of what our classroom spaces are:
- The Roost -- coffee shop and gift shop
- Faculty Lounge -- refresher room for VSM teachers to refuel on coffee, water, or prep for class
- Erasmus Lounge -- student lounge to relax and enjoy fellowship
- Conference Room -- multi-purpose area for needed, private meetings
- Borden Room -- larger classroom used for Missions Classes, chapel, gatherings, and class
- Aylward Room -- one of the newly finished rooms purposed to prepare future missionaries
Internship Meeting
Travis held a meeting with those preparing for upcoming internships. Praise the Lord!
Faculty Lounge in Use
Grateful for two of our awesome teachers preparing to teach future missionaries.
Chapel
Thankful to host alumni Greg Keelen as VSM chapel speaker last Friday!
