VBM Update From the Homebase - Week 45

Welcome, Hallie Jane!

Congratulations to Zachariah and Lydia Patton on the birth of their daughter, Hallie Jane Patton. Mom and baby are both home and recovering well.

Preview Day: Thursday, November 19

Prospective students and interns are invited to Preview Day on the VBM campus. It runs from lunch at noon until 4:00 p.m. Visitors get a firsthand look at VBM training, meet current students and hear from missionaries about their regions of the world. If you know a young person who is interested in missions, please pass this along. They can register here.

To get ready for our guests, we've been sprucing up campus, starting with fresh mulch around the grounds.

Missions Class with the Broyles

Benjamin and Patricia Broyles spent a week teaching on campus and then led our Friday Missions Class. Our students were helped and encouraged, and it was a blessing to have the Broyles and their family with us. Missions Class is followed each Friday by lunch together.

Flood Relief in Nepal

Recent flooding in Nepal caused widespread damage. The church in Kathmandu has made several trips to deliver needed supplies and to offer prayer and encouragement to families affected by the flood.

Intern Updates

Sarah Garner is serving in Taiwan alongside VBM missionaries. She helps with Bible study and is learning Chinese, and her host missionaries speak highly of her. Please pray for her as she seeks the Lord's direction for her next steps.

Congratulations to Romza, who recently completed his internship. He and Madison will be married soon and plan to serve together on the mission field. Please pray for them as they take their next steps.

On the Road Together

It was a privilege to share a missions conference with VBM missionaries Luke and Emily Ganson, Josh Miller, and Chestley Howell.

A Fresh Sticker Design

We're always working on new promotional materials for the colleges, conferences, camps, and events we visit. Lydia Ellis designed our newest sticker, which is headed to print soon.

Prayer Works

Tyler Chandler shared that after nine years of praying daily for his family, his brother and sister-in-law, Dyllan and Danielle Chandler, trusted Christ. They had been searching for something missing in their lives, and over a video call Tyler explained the gospel to them. Please pray that Dyllan and Danielle will grow in their faith and become active in their home church. Please also pray for the salvation of Tyler's parents and sister. Don't give up praying for lost loved ones!
