Member Care Podcast Episode on Mission Post!

Camp Season in Argentina

The image shows counselors discussing salvation with young campers. I am presently at Camp Vision in Rosario, Argentina, with Shawn and Emily Bateman. The Lord is doing an incredible work here, and it is a privilege to witness and be part of it!

Upcoming Preview Day

We are planning a "Preview Day," which is a one-day exploration of missions pathways for high school/college students who desire to get more involved in missionary service. The information is below. This event will be taken place on the same day of our Pastoral Advisory Committee meeting.

VSM Classes Back in Session

Classes have just started back up. We are super grateful for the teachers and students God has sent our way. Please keep VSM in prayer. 

1st Chapel Service

Every Friday, before missions class, chapel is held at VSM. The students all participate in several ways (country of the week, song leading, 5-minute preacher) before hearing from the guest preacher. 

Missions Class back in Session

Friday kickstarted the new semester for Missions Class. We were blessed to have guest speaker Tom Wallace, who serves and promotes Muslim missions.

Every Friday at 9am, missions class is held on campus. We'd love to invite you to participate if you're in the area. 

Above is the 2026 Spring Semester Missions Class schedule. If you are in the area, we would love to have you join us for one of our Missions Classes. Also, we always enjoy a meal and fellowship together afterwards!

Big Attendance in New Building

Graham & Olivia Young held their first service in their new building on their property. It was their best-attended to date. Fifty people gathered to hear the message of God offering righteousness to all who believe; nearly half of those in attendance were first-time visitors. Praise the Lord!

Special Service

Tracy Paver has been teaching English classes Godliness Baptist Church in Chile. The Lord worked in especially sweet ways as they held the class graduation on the same Sunday as Godliness Baptist’s inaugural service! Amen. 

Important Dates in 2026

Each of you are busy with family, ministry, and life. I pray God gives you fruit and favor in the area He has placed you in! 
I want to share a few important dates we have on the calendar to help us pray and even participate if you're stateside. 

• January 27-30 -- VSM Module: Sam Wilson (Hebrews)
• February 7 -- Ladies Abide Conference
• February 13 -- VBM Intensive (one-day training event for those on deputation/furlough)
• February 24-27 -- VSM Module: Steve Hall (Bible Studies - The Foundation of Starting a Church)
• March 27 -- Preview Day & Missions Rally (visitors get to "preview" VBM training)
• April 6-10 -- Orientation 
• April 17 -- VBM Intensive (one-day training event for those on deputation/furlough)
• July 14-17 -- WCMT 
• August 17 -- VSM Fall Semester Starts
• September 2026 -- Africa Regional conference in South Africa
• November 19 -- Preview Day (visitors get to "preview" VBM training)
• November 19 -- PAC meeting on VBM campus

We will also have Youth for the Gospel events, representing VSM & VBM in conferences, and a few smaller events scattered throughout the year. We need and appreciate your prayers!

Pastor & Mrs. Schneider @ VSM

Pastor Bill & Mrs. Terri Schneider are moving from MD to live and serve on staff of VSM. Pastor Schneider will be teaching full time beginning next semester. What a tremendous blessing it is for our student body as well as all of us around here! 

Not only will he serve on staff, but he will be available to give advice, counsel, and encouragement to all those who reach out. I want to encourage you to reach out to him: pastorbillschneider@gmail.com  He brings so much to the table, and what a blessing this news is for me personally!
