VBM Update From the Homebase - Week 8
Newest Missionary Family!!!
We are delighted to announce that Luke & Emily have been accepted as our newest missionary family with Vision Baptist Missions. They will be serving in a creative access country, so we will only share limited information. Below is a short bio Luke wanted to share with you:
Luke and Emily are honored to serve as church planting missionaries. We are sent out of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Logan, Ohio, and we are following the Lord’s direction with joy. Alongside our daughter, we have a deep love for the Lord and a burden to see people reached with the Gospel that have not heard it yet. Our prayer is to faithfully preach Christ and plant churches that will show His light in the darkness for generations to come.
Upcoming Preview Day
We are planning a "Preview Day," which is a one-day exploration of missions pathways for high school/college students who desire to get more involved in missionary service. The information is below. This event will be taken place on the same day of our Pastoral Advisory Committee meeting.

Guest Speaker for Missions Classes
Pastor Steve Hall, who also faithfully serves on VBM Board of Directors, is our guest speaker this week for Missions Class. You might remember a couple months back I shared a sermon Pastor Steve preached on "The Doctrine of Election." It was really good! He will be touching on that in class. If you're in town, or can be, you will not want to miss it!

New Semester
First Day of Bible College class for this semester in South Africa. What a great group of students!

- February 7 -- Ladies Abide Conference
- February 13 -- VBM Intensive (one-day training event for those on deputation/furlough)
- February 24-27 -- VSM Module: Steve Hall (Bible Studies - The Foundation of Starting a Church)
- March 27 -- Preview Day & Missions Rally (visitors get to "preview" VBM training)
- April 6-10 -- Orientation
- April 17 -- VBM Intensive (one-day training event for those on deputation/furlough)
- July 14-17 -- WCMT
- August 17 -- VSM Fall Semester Starts
- September 2026 -- Africa Regional conference in South Africa
- November 19 -- Preview Day (visitors get to "preview" VBM training)
- November 19 -- PAC meeting on VBM campus
We will also have Youth for the Gospel events, representing VSM & VBM in conferences, and a few smaller events scattered throughout the year. We need and appreciate your prayers!
Friend Day in Mozambique
Kevin Hall visited and preached “Friend Day” at the church Jacob Clower is overseeing in Maputo, Mozambique.
Pastors’ Retreat in Chile
Shawn Bateman was the guest speaker for a 3-day Pastors’ Retreat in Santiago, Chile. Wonderful group of God's servants.
Taiwan Blessings
It is a great blessing to see how God is using Adam & Ashley Walz in Taiwan. Praise the Lord!
Upcoming Internships
Travis & Teri led an internship meeting with five students that are preparing for their 6-month, overseas internships this summer. What a blessing!
Goforth Tour

On this ten-day trip of a lifetime, experience everything from bullet trains and boba tea to urban cityscapes and underground churches. There are multitudes upon multitudes in this country without a gospel witness. Jesus saw the multitudes in Matthew 9 and was moved with compassion and commanded His disciples to pray for laborers. It’s our prayer that you will see the multitudes and likewise be moved with compassion to pray for laborers and perhaps even devote your life to returning as one yourself!

Transparency & Accountability
Last week and this week, VBM staff are working with an external audit firm to complete our yearly audit. This requires hundreds, if not thousands, of documents to be checked. Our staff is working hard, and I'm extremely grateful for their dedication and diligence to make this happen. Our goal in these yearly audits is to make sure transparency, trust, and accountability are held high with the funds God sends through VBM.
Elliot House Remodeling
We have been remodeling the girls dorm (Elisabeth Elliot House). This week, they were specifically working on the AC units. Praise the Lord, it is coming along nicely.
