VBM Update From the Homebase - Week 23
New Baby!
Congratulations to Robbie & Lauren Prater on the birth of Shepherd Lee Prater. He was born June 2, 2026 @ 3:12pm 7 pounds 13 ounces 20 inches long. What a blessing!
New Church Plant!
Congratulations to Noah & Tristan Wilkerson on the first service at Liberty Baptist Church. God gave them 35 visitors. What a blessing!!! Please be praying for God's work through the Wilkerson family!
New Church Building!
Congratulations to Sam & Beth Quinn on finding and signing on a building they'll be renting to start.
Returning with Visas!
We rejoice with Dallas & Ashley Brown as they have been approved for a visa to return to Burkina Faso! The visa is currently valid for only three months and will need to be renewed, but this is a tremendous answer to prayer and truly a miracle from the Lord.
Pastor Visits VBM
Corey Bane, former pastor of Shenandoah Baptist Church in WV, visited the VBM campus. He supported several VBM missionaries and has now stepped into a new ministry of Pastoral Care. His prayer is that he can encourage, counsel, and help missionaries in the future as he does with pastors. It was a privilege to host him on campus and speak of future possibilities.
Elliot House (Girl's Dorm) Completion
A special thanks to several of you that have given towards the furnishing of the girl's dorm. If you're interested and willing to help furnish the girls' dorm before fall semester, you can check out the list HERE. If you have purchased something, please let Mindy or Teri know so we can watch out for it and also thank you for it!!
Future Missionaries
It was a blessing to meet Bentley at camp last week. We have been in communication about his desire to serve the Lord as a missionary, and thankful to meet him in person. The really cool thing about this was that he told me he surrendered to missions about 3 years ago when Dr. Jim Roberts was preaching at his church. What a blessing!! I encourage you to keep serving the Lord, you never know who is listening and how God is working.

We will also have Youth for the Gospel events, representing VSM & VBM in conferences, and a few smaller events scattered throughout the year. We need and appreciate your prayers!
Team Colombia Retreat
The Sanabria's and Howell's, along with intern Denise Troyer, held a team retreat to plan and brainstorm about ministry. They will be receiving groups and interns this summer. Praise the Lord for a great team of missionaries!

Praise the Lord for the 3rd year anniversary. They are doing a wonderful job reaching the Chinese in their area. What a blessing!
Neighbor Sunday
Graham & Olivia Young recently held "Neighbor Sunday," which brought in visitors as well as opportunities to share the Gospel. Amen!
Golf Tournament!
Stephen Cofield has been a tremendous help in the past, and once again, has joined to help us plan for our 5th annual Golf Tournament. We will be spreading the word, looking for golfers, and contacting sponsors. Our goal with the proceeds will go towards professionally remodeling the gym to be an official basketball and volleyball court. It will be used for local Christian schools, churches, and VBM/VSM use. We are excited about what God is doing!
Our future is as bright as the promises of God!
