Waiting and Watching

Waiting and Watching

“My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning.” — Psalm 130:6

Waiting on the Lord is compared to a watchman waiting for the morning. The watchman stays up all night, therefore morning is anticipated because he then would be able to see clearly. In the morning he can then relax. In the morning his shift is almost over. In the morning everything will be calm. It is a wait of patience, a wait of hope, and wait of anticipation.

What are you waiting for, dear friend? Are you waiting for the challenges to end? Are you waiting for the answers you need or want? Are you waiting for a more peaceful time? Are you waiting to see the fruit that only God can give? Regardless of what you are waiting for, remember to focus on God. As you wait for the Lord, do so with patience, hope, and anticipation. God is faithful and always on time. Wait and watch!
